manager
B.I.Z. Appraisal Company, LLC
For three years, I organized, streamlined, systematized, and managed operations for real estate appraiser Thomas Bertaud. As a result, sales increased 25% and he had his most successful year ever in business in 2018. I started by assessing his workflow and assisting him with marketing, accounting, customer service, and data entry. I performed market research to expand his client base and created a visual brand for all of his marketing materials and appraisal products.
Denver Academy
As the creator and manager of Denver Academy's Digital Art Program for six years, I was in charge of planning, budget, and curriculum development for graphic art, photography, animation and yearbook classes. As the digital art teacher, I developed trusting relationships with students, faculty, and staff through respectful communication and empathy. In order to be an effective classroom manager, I provided clear expectations, well-organized lesson plans, and authentic assessments. My digital art program was instrumental in increasing enrollment and adding value to the art program at Denver Academy.
Design Management

Time, vendor and staff management are all integral to being a successful designer in any arena.
At Circa 2000 in New York, I managed the sample room production schedule, staff and supplies in addition to my duties as head designer. At Rocky Mountain clothing I managed sample production for knit tops and sweaters from outside vendors PCA in Los Angeles and Winona Knitting Mills in Minnesota. At Universal Lending Corporation, I managed our print vendors and on-line marketing collateral program for four sales offices.
Retail Management
My first management experience came early on when I was asked to head up Still Blossom, a clothing boutique on Pearl St. Mall in Boulder. The salesmanship, visual merchandising, window design and staff management that I learned there served me well when I took a similar job at Touch of Class, a clothing boutique just off Union Square in San Francisco. Three years of retail management inspired my love for apparel design and I return to Pearl St. Mall at least once a year to remind myself of where I got my start.
