Live, Work, Learn, Play, Repeat

what's the story?

I started my career at a boutique on Pearl St. Mall in Boulder where I sold designer clothes, designed window displays, and had my first managerial experience. It was always thick with atmosphere there. I remember a saxophonist who would wheel his chair into the alcove across from my store at dusk and play jazz music. The light was always just right, it felt magical. Then I dreamed of city life so I became a stylist in Cherry Creek on 3rd avenue in Denver. For fun we ate toast and dance all night underneath the 15th Street viaduct at Rock Island. Soon I was lured to San Francisco. There was so much to discover in North Beach; garlic pizza, cocktails at the Savoy Tivoli, wine country and Stinson Beach on the weekends. Then an FIT education and apparel design career that I could only get in New York City called. I had fifteen minutes of fame as a giant fish in the Macy's Day parade, and then after hundreds of subway rides, fashion illustrations, and late nights in the sewing studio, I became the designer that I dreamed I could be. Eventually, on a beautiful July evening at Crescent Beach on Shelter Island, I got engaged. Fireworks covered the sky over the Hamptons and my fiance and I began  to hear whispers from Colorado. Soon we were living in our bungalow on West 30th and Hooker in the Denver Highlands. Tops design at Rocky Mountain clothing took me to LA, Dallas, Las Vegas, and New York. I spent weekends in the ceramic studio, creating hand painted tile designs for local interior designers. When our family expanded we put down roots in Centennial where I transitioned to a graphic design career that has been going for over 20 years.
